
Ingredients
1/2 cup Low sodium soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoon sesame oil
1 serrano chili pepper or ½ jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
1 teaspoon crushed chili peppers
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
2 sliced scallions
1 pound shrimp with shells and/or cubed beef
1 onion, sliced into large chunks
2 bell peppers, sliced into large chunks
2 zucchinis cut into one-inch pieces
1 pint button mushrooms
1 cup grape or cherry tomatoes
Skewers soaked in water
Hot cooked rice

Instructions
In a small bowl, stir soy sauce, garlic and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Add next five ingredients, sesame oil to scallions and stir. Place shrimp, beef, and vegetables in a large zip-top bag; add the soy sauce mixture and marinate for one hour or overnight.
Skewer shrimp, beef and vegetables. Grill over medium heat until the shrimp is pink and the beef is tender, about six to eight minutes, turning once. Serve over rice.
