Did you know that May is National Stroke Awareness Month? According to the National Stroke Association, stroke is the third leading cause of death in America and a leading cause of adult disability. While it’s possible for anyone, at any age, to experience a stroke, adults 55 years of age and older have an increased risk of stroke. But there’s good news – up to 80 percent of strokes are preventable, and, if you do have a stroke, quick and early treatment can make the road to recovery much less trying. Being informed about your risk factors, the early signs of a stroke, and what to do if you or someone you care for is having a stroke can make a world of difference.

The resources below provide important information for you and your loved ones.
